Professor Profile
Cécile Coderre
A sociologist and social worker by training, I'm interested in issues of violence against women, minority Francophone women's movements, feminist and community approaches to intervention and the relationship of women to the State. I'm also interested in the sociology of work and the family, and specifically in female managers of large public and private companies. I'm co-author of Femmes de carrière, carrières de femmes (UOP). In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of The Second Sex, I co-edited a collection entitled Le deuxième sexe, Une relecture en trois temps 1949-1971-1999.
