Workshop on the Review of the Roots of Youth Violence
In November of 2008, the Government of Ontario released its report on The Review of the Roots of Youth Violence. The report recommended ways to “reduce violence involving youth by adopting a more coordinated, more comprehensive and more community-focused approach” (News Release, Nov. 14, 2008).
On March 11, 2009, the Institute for the Prevention of Crime (IPC) at the University of Ottawa organized a Workshop to provide an opportunity for constructive and critical discussion about the report’s findings and recommendations, and to explore ways of moving forward.
