Here's a unique opportunity for you... Feel the pulse of the planet!
At a time where globalization in all its forms is becoming more and more important, your studies abroad will undoubtedly be an asset in your job search. We propose three easy ways to get there : International Internships; Field Research Courses and International Exchanges.
Theses courses are worth credits toward your program.
International Internships: The 12 week internship is worth 6 credits (9 credits SVS students). Depending on the program, students can count the internship as part of their compulsory credits (ANT4010, DVM4010, ECH4010), optionnal or electives (SCS4010 for all the other programs offered at the Faculty of Social Sciences). You can also get 6 extra credits through the intensive courses offerred right after your internship(3 weeks monday to friday). Theses courses can count as electives or optionnal courses depending on the student's program.
Field Research Courses: Thes 3-week courses happen in May of each year and are woth 6 credits and can count as optionnal courses or electives depending on the student's program.
International Exchanges: If you are a full-time University of Ottawa student and would like to do part of your studies in another country, consider the University of Ottawa’s exchange program. To learn more about the exchange programs, attend one of the mandatory information sessions being offered over the coming months.
