April Carrière
April Carrière is a Doctoral Candidate at the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. Her main research interests revolve around social organization and capacity theories and practices; she is currently writing a thesis entitled: “Sociability, Mutual Aid, and Collective Action in the Bolivian Andes.”
April has been involved with the Centre on Governance since May 2009. Since then, she has contributed to various Centre initiatives, especially those associated with the Welcoming Communities Initiative (WCI), through her work in support of the Ottawa Local Immigration Partnership (OLIP), and on the Anti-Racism Observatory (ARO). Her engagement with the Centre continues through her work as Project Coordinator for the Ottawa Multicultural Media Initiative (OMMI).
