The University of Ottawa has begun construction of a new building on campus at the corner of Laurier Avenue and Nicholas Street. When completed in 2007, the multidisciplinary building will be home to the central administration of the Faculty of Social Sciences in addition to many of its academic units and research centres. In addition, it will also be home to the School of Management.

The twelve-storey, $76.2 million dollar building will be designed to allow efficient and cost-effective expansion, and will be a new home for students attending classes, studying or meeting friends. The building also includes offices for faculty members, some large classrooms, rooms for seminars/meetings, study rooms, and computer teaching laboratories.
