John Proskie Scholarship

PURPOSE OF FUND

To provide financial assistance to a talented student entering or registered in the Master’s of Arts in Economics. The student must demonstrate financial need.

The donor appreciates the matching contribution to the Government of Ontario through its Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund program.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria:
Be registered in the Master’s of Arts in Economics program at the University of Ottawa and demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service, and be a resident of Ontario (OSAP rules). Candidate should also have a good academic record.

Value of Award: $ 1500
Number of Awards: One scholarship
Frequency of Award: Annual
Level of the Award: Graduate Level

Application Procedure:
Student must:

  • Apply in writing to the Chair, Department of Economics;
  • Provide academic transcripts (not necessary for U of O students);
  • An OSOTF application form available at the Financial Aid and Awards Service. The “Student Budget” Section must be filled out if the candidate has not submitted an OSAP application for the year the scholarship is granted.

Application Deadline: September 30 or February 28
