Hok Yan Lee Scholarship
The fund was established in 2000 by Sceptre Investment Counsel Limited, family and friends in memory of Hok Yan (Ian) Lee (M.A. 1972, Social Sciences) who died of a heart attack on January 28, 2000 at the age of 52. Mr. Lee had an integral role at Sceptre since joining the Company four years earlier. He was the manager of the fixed income area. In recognition of his contribution to Sceptre, he had been appointed a management director at the annual meeting in April 1999. Ian was an optimistic and positive presence with the Company. He had a broad international perspective on investment markets in general and fixed income markets in particular.
The founders appreciate the contribution of the Government of Ontario through its Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund program.
