The C.D. Howe Memorial Foundation Scholarship for Student International Exchange

The C.D. Howe Memorial Foundation Scholarship for Student International Exchange is being created to help strengthen the University of Ottawa’s ability to provide its best and finest students of the Faculty of Social Sciences who require international experience to complete their education. This experience can be gained through summer internships or work opportunities.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria:
The applicants must:

  • be registered as a full-time student enrolled in either the International Development and Globalization Program, the International Economics and Development Program or the Conflict Studies and Human Rights Program in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa;
  • participage in an international exchange or internship of a minimum of one semester; and
  • have obtained a high academic standing in one of the programs outlined in the first criteria.

Value of the Award: $7,500 minimum per award , according to interest generated by the fund

Frequency of the Award: Annual
Level of the Award: Undergraduate

Application Procedure:
Applications must be made through the Online Scholarships and Bursaries System, available through uoZone, and should include:

  • a copy of applicant’s academic transcript;
  • a letter from the candidate explaining his/her participation in an international exchange or an international internship.

Application Deadline: September 30 or February 28
