Bonnie & Wally Morris Family Scholarship
This Family Fund was created by Bonnie Morris during her tenure as Assistant Vice-Rector, Alumni and Development at the University of Ottawa.
PURPOSE OF FUND
It is intended to assist a part-time student determined to further his/her studies while working in the hope of creating better career opportunities for him/herself in the future. A candidate that is currently unemployed or working only part-time could be considered, provided he or she has a solid work history. The Morris Family wishes to thank the Alumni Association and the Government of Ontario who helped create this fund through their generous matching contributions.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant must:
- be an Ontario resident, as per OSAP rules;
- demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Office of the University of Ottawa; and
- be a part-time student with a minimum course load of two 3-credit courses per semester. Courses must lead to a degree.
* Preference will be given to candidates with a history of community or volunteer work.

Application Procedure:
Applications must be made through the Online Scholarships and Bursaries System, available through uoZone, and should include:
- the "Financial Questionnaire" section ;
- a curriculum vitae;
- a letter of reference as to work record;
- a letter from the applicant stating community or volunteer involvement; and
- a copy of the applicant's transcript.
