- The 26th Post Graduate Course “Victimology, Victim Assistance and Criminal Justice” will take place in the Inter University Center in Dubrovnik from 10 May to 22 May, 2010.

- On March 18, 2008, the Institute for the Prevention of Crime, in partnership with the National Crime Prevention Center and the Faculty of Social Sciences, hosted a public lecture on "Building a Canadian Crime Prevention Strategy".
- The students challenged the professors to a Dodge Ball tournament on March 1st, 2008. Smarting from their unprecedented defeat in the annual Soccer Challenge last semester, the professors sought revenge and were, sadly, denied.
- On September 19, we hosted a special Roundtable Discussion celebrating 40 years of excellence at the Department of Criminology. Professors and invited guests took a look back on our accomplishments, and took a look forward on what’s to come in the world of Criminology.
- Thanks also to those students, alumni and faculty who helped us celebrate our 40th anniversary at a special dinner at the Chateau Laurier on September 20. Good food, good wine, good friends!
