- October 7th 2009: Linda Cardinal gave an interview on the new Language Rights Support Program of the Federal government on Radio-Canada’s téléjournal Ontario (3rd segment).
- September 7th to 9th 2009: Linda Cardinal was a participant at the 10th Congress of the French Political Science Association (AFSP) in Grenoble. She did a presentation in the thematic section "L'action collective des minorités linguistiques : comparaisons canadiennes et européennes".

October 2009: Linda Cardinal received the Excellence in Research Award from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ottawa.

Spring 2008: Linda Cardinal received the Peter O’Brian bursary in canado-irish studies 2008-2009 from the Concordia University.
