“Canada’s National Security Challenges”

Marie-Lucie Morin
Marie-Lucie Morin was appointed National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister and
Associate Secretary to the Cabinet on November 17, 2008.

She previously served as Deputy Minister of International Trade (2006 to 2008) and as Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (2003 to 2006).

As career foreign service officer, she held numerous postings abroad in San Francisco, Jakarta, London and Moscow and served as Canada’s ambassador to Norway and Iceland from 1997 to September 2001.
