National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister

Marie-Lucie Morin was appointed National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister and Associate Secretary to the Cabinet on November 17, 2008. She previously served as Deputy Minister of International Trade (2006 to 2008) and as Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (2003 to 2006). A career foreign service officer, she held numerous postings abroad in San Francisco, Jakarta, London and Moscow and served as Canada’s ambassador to Norway and Iceland from 1997 to September 2001.

Ms. Morin’s address and the discussion to follow will be given under the “Chatham House rule.”

A light lunch will be available.

The Ottawa Roundtable on Security and Intelligence is open to faculty and students, to CASIS members, government officials, interested members of the public and the media. No registration for these events is required and no fee is charged.
