The Faculty of Social Sciences comprises nine departments, schools and institutes, which offer undergraduate, masters and doctoral programs in both English and French. With its 10,000 students, 260 full-time professors, and wide array of programs and research centres, the Faculty of Social Sciences plays a key role at the heart of the University of Ottawa. Its graduate students are supervised by excellent researchers and undertake cutting-edge research in the Faculty's masters and Ph.D. programs.
Established in 2007, the School currently counts over 30 dedicated faculty and 19 senior fellows and it offers a multidisciplinary Master’s degree for students interested in pursuing careers related to public and international affairs in national or international institutions. The program focuses on training students to work as advisors, analysts, or managers in government or in private or non-governmental organizations and students can specialize in the study of public policy, international affairs or development studies. The program is also designed for students seeking careers in journalism, think tanks, and government relations in the private sector.
