- November 14: Erica Feller, Assistant High Commissioner for Refugees (Protection) at the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, will give a public lecture on peacebuilding and protracted refugees situations

- The Graduate School of Public and International Affairs is proud to host the launch of the Aga Khan Foundation Canada University and College Seminar Series. The 2007 University Seminar Series
will explore the role of education in international development on November 3rd. - From work in Sierra Leone and Burundi, Dr. Milner will discuss how peacebuilding is shaped by armed elements within camps, the potential of early and forced repatriation, and refugees' own experience of exile on the 25th of October.
- October 25: Mr. Joseph Caron, Canada’s Ambassador to Japan, will give a lecture at the School on the political situation in Japan and the current geopolitical context in Asia.
- October 26: Mr. Andrew Podger, President of the Institute of Public Administration of Australia and former Public Service Commissioner of Australia, will give a talk on Public Service reform in Australia.
- October 11: On the occasion of the publication of his latest book Hot Air: Meeting Canada’s Climate Change Challenge, Jeffrey Simpson, national columnist at The Globe and Mail and senior fellow at the School, will give a public lecture on the future of Canada’s climate change policy.
- Jim Corcoran, who advised Hans Blix and was responsible for intelligence liaison for the UN mission on weapons inspection in Iraq between 2002 and 2005, will give a public lecture on this controversial on October 17.
- October 3: Professor Michael Byers, author of Intent for a Nation: What is Canada for?, discussed the implications of a changing Arctic for Canada’s future. Intent for a Nation: Canada’s Arctic Future was the first event of the School’s Roundtable on Intelligence and Security, a series of public lectures organized in association with the Canadian Association for Security and Intelligence Studies.
- Two of the world’s leading thinkers on postwar state-building, Robert Rotberg and Astri Suhrke, offered their thoughts on the progress – and perils – of the state-building enterprise in Afghanistan at the Statebuilding in Afghanistan: Is International Assistance Working? conference on September 28th.
- The Graduate School of Public and International Affairs welcomes His Excellency Franco Marini, President of the Senate of the Italian Republic on September 5th.
